Peer Critique

I critiqued Maya's painting. in this piece I see a geometric heart that is pink, white, red, purple, and black the shapes used are a heart, triangles. The lines are used in a way to make it look 3d. The textures are effective in a way that makes it look like a gem. The viewer's eye moves across it from right to left from shadow. The most important part of the piece is the heart. The artist created this piece because she likes the color pink. To me this art says valentines day because of the pink, red, and the heart. I like the tilted heart and the gradient used. I also like the colors because ink is my favorite color. The artist did a really good job blending the paint and making it look like a gem. I don't dislike anything about this piece. If I was the artist I would probably make the background a different color then the heart.
